We have teamed up with wine experts who will open doors to private cellars and give us tips on appreciating Italy’s
unique blends. Our friend Mark Lasky, wine educator and Italian
wine expert at Beaunes Wine Bar in Florida will guide us the entire
way. To add to the merriment, Giulio, on of our favorite Italian
partners, joins us when we arrive in Tuscany and brings with him
a deep love and knowledge of this fantastic wine region and the
people.
June 2-7, Piemonte
Many Italians, even proud natives of other wine-producing regions, consider
Piemontese wines to be among the country's best. The main grape
grown here is the distinguished Nebbiolo, which is the base for
the famed Barolo, Barbaresco and Gattinara.
June 7-13, Tuscany
Experience the beauty and magic of Tuscany. Here the eye can see far across the unfolding of hills, of gold and green, and vineyards harboring some of the best wines in Italy. Among others, we’ll visit Montelcino in the middle of one of Italy's most important grape-growing areas. The famed Brunello vines for which the region is famous produce the grapes used for the production of a number of DOC vintages and a couple of DOCG, Super Tuscan wines.
